Technegas Generator
Leading the Way in Ventilation Imaging
This device was developed for the purpose of diagnostic imaging Pulmonary Embolism using V/Q Imaging techniques.
The Technegas system comprises the Technegas Generator and its purpose designed accessory, the Patient Administration Set (PAS).
The Technegas Generator produces Technegas using a heating process and is then delivered to a patient via the PAS. An image of the patients lungs is produced using a gamma camera. The images acquired are the ventilation component of the ventilation/perfusion study used for the diagnosis of Pulmonary Embolism (PE). The PAS is a SINGLE USE ONLY device and is disposed of after use.
The Technegas Generator may also be used to produce Pertechnegas. Pertechnegas is used for the diagnosis of PE and for lung clearance studies.
Technegas is increasingly being recognised as the "GOLD STANDARD" agent for imaging the airways of the lung. Over 1,000 generators installed in over 30 different countries with more than 1.7 million studies performed.

Easy Breather Accessory
The Next Step in Ventilation Imaging
The Easy Breather has been designed as an accessory to the Technegas Generator. Its purpose is to provide a positive pressure to deliver Technegas to frail-aged, ventilated or patients who are otherwise unable to undertake a normal ventilation study.
Delivery of Technegas using the Easy Breather is a simple technique similar to the use of a resuscitator bag. By squeezing the resuscitation bag mounted at the back of the generator and working with another technologist at the patients side, the patient is provided with assistance to easy breathe in Technegas. Once the easy breather has been installed on the generator it provides the technologist the opportunity to use the equipment whenever required, especially if a patient is having difficulty in taking a deep breath in.
The Easy Breather has been approved for use on ventilated patients and frailed aged.
Crucible Oven
The crucible oven has been designed to ease technologist's frustration by overcoming delays in preparation time, when only low specific activity is available. The Pertechnetate can be added to the crucible in the hot lab environment multiple times until the required activity is reached. This allows the technologist to reduce preparation time of the generator to only one simmer. Benefits are maximised when the technologist keeps a number of crucibles simmering during the day and progressively filling for immediate use in the Technegas Generator
